Each lid design is made by precisely cutting the pieces from different species of woods, and then arranging the colors; each lid is made one at a time. All designs are natural wood colors and use no stains or dyes. The completed boxes are finished with a thin layer of lacquer to accentuate the natural hues of the woods, and then polished to a smooth luster with oil and wax. Handmade in the USA.
