This is a saggar-fired pot which means that this pot has been loaded into a gas reduction kiln along with combustible materials such as wood chips and leaves. During the firing process, these material ignite and create beautiful patterns on the surface of the piece. Each sagger fired pot is truly one of a kind. Because of the low fired temperature, this pot WILL NOT HOLD WATER.
