The key to opening this box is the tiny heart on the right. Remove the heart and slide the lid forward, remove the second lid to reveal the first flocked box inside the outer box (click on more views). The semi-abstract heart design is perfect to hold a Valentine treasure. These boxes are made from a solid piece of Honduras mahogany and have a highly figured wood laminated on the top. The box is finished with clear Danish oil. Wiping occasionally with lemon oil or fine furniture polish will preserve the luster.
